Prosthetic Care Facility of Virginia Issued Trademark for Destination Prosthetics®
The Prosthetic Care Facility of Virginia announced today that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued a trademark to the company for the name, Destination Prosthetics®.
Destination Prosthetics is a special program designed for amputees who want to achieve mobility, but are unable to receive the rehabilitation care needed in their own community or from their own prosthetist.
Patients accepted for Destination Prosthetics receive intensive one-on-one treatment with no interruptions at the Prosthetic Care Facility of Virginia, a full-service clinical practice providing state-of-the-art technology for customized fittings of body-powered and bionic prostheses.
John Hattingh, CP, LPO, CPO (SA), works directly with patients, reviewing limb-loss history, and then fitting them with the correct socket and components. Patients receive gait training and education in the care and use of their components. Adjustments are offered as needed. Travel expenses and accommodations are covered.
